“We talked about it and how it didn’t mean much in the rankings but meant everything in our confidence,” Soroco coach Kim Reeves said.

Soroco used a balanced attack, with multiple hitters contributing to the win.

Ceanna Rossi led the team with seven kills. Corey Snyder and Micaela Meyer each had five, and Shelby and Lindsay Miles each had three.

Reeves said the biggest difference for Soroco was the team cut down on its errors and passed the ball well. That must continue, she said, as the season approaches the latter stages.

“I would say our biggest issue is our errors,” Reeves said. “We’re still looking at eliminating those errors. We have to work on being patient.”

Soroco next plays at 6:30 p.m. Friday at home against North Park.
