He received dog bites on his left arm and hand, and one of the dogs was mortally wounded when it was shot by another officer in self defense.

Cooper Puckett is pumped to get on the slopes of Howelsen Hill this weekend as part of the 2017 USSA Rocky/Central U14 Alpine Skiing Championships. The races will take place at the Steamboat Ski Area on Friday and Saturday, and at Howelsen Hill on Sunday and Monday. Ten Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club racers are among the 190 who will be in town for the races.

American Legion Post 44 Adjutant Jim Stanko, of rural Steamboat Springs, made his ninth trip to Washington D.C., with American Legion members from around the country to lobby Congress on behalf of military veterans in late February.
